Related standards for Foundation Fieldbus cables
General cable specification Foundation Fieldbus FF-844 H1 and cable design based on EN 50288-7 or UL 13 / UL 2250.
- UL type products may be UL listed
- Electrical properties based on FF-844 H1 and IEC 61158-2, type A
- IEC 61158-2, type A
- is restricted to single pair cables,
- whereas FF-844 H1 specifies multipair, too
- FF-844 H1
- Electrical properties of each pair in multipair cables shall be according to IEC 61558-2, type A
FF-844 – cable design
Foundation Fieldbus Cables registered / 100 Ohm / FF-844 Fieldbus Foundation H1
With the Foundation Fieldbus, the "host device" only monitors the procedures. Within process automation, the FF forms a so-called LAN (Local Areas Network) and the FF devices are connected to H1 links. Several H1 links are connected to the high-performance network HSE High-Speed-Ethernet via linking devices.
