LEONI launches Next Generation SideFire 2.0 laser probe for continuous wave Thulium lasers in the United States

New design for 4x more power, multiple wavelengths and increased durability

LEONI has re-designed and upgraded its proven SideFire laser probe technology to exceed the OEMs innovative laser systems’ power requirements and varying treatment wavelengths. Available for sale in the United States, the new SideFire 2.0 is rated up to 4x more power utilizing a Thulium laser wavelength. The new design features an ergonomic hand piece with a special contour. The design increases the users’ comfort and precision to compliment the increased power output and beam efficiency.

With its new SideFire 2.0 laser probes, LEONI recognized the markets’ need for an improved high-powered fiber optic delivery device. The re-imagined probe is built for the comfort and precision of the Urologist and their staff. It features a 90 degree angle capillary tip which increases beam efficiency. A proprietary process attaches the capillary to the body of the device for durability.  The ergonomic aiming grip handle rotates 365 degrees for increased precision. The surgeon always knows where the beam energy is being applied even in treatments that could endure greater than 30 minutes and varying surgical environments. For the nursing and hospital staff, LEONI made the packaging for ease-of-use to make sure each sterile device is easily passed off by the scrub nurse into the hands of the surgeon.
